As promised here are the photos from the past few years of our pumpkin-painting tradition. Miraculously, I managed to find some! Which is amazing 'cuz I seem to lose everything lately, let alone something from not-2015. If you saw yesterday's post you'll notice that I went for more of a "whimsical" halloween vibe this year, but I've played around with a lot of different designs, which is the beauty of this craft project...if you hate it, you can just spray paint over it again and start over! I always grab a few cans of matte black, white, or (this year) gold spray paint, cheap paint brushes, and acrylic paint bottles. I never spend over $50 on this project, and that's including pumpkins. I don't fuss with pumpkin patches--I just pick up the cheapest trader joe's pumpkins I can find. Since I'm going to paint them anyway, who cares what they look like initially.
One year we'd redecorated our backyard and had cement blocks left over that we had no idea what to do with, so we turned those into permanent Halloween decorations for the front yard. Just by using acrylic and spray paints.
Hopefully these give you some spooky-inspiration...
happy halloween guys!! {❤︎, b}
