Living in an apartment has it's difficulties...without much space to work with, decorating can become a tricky business. I have, on more than one occasion, found myself feeling like Edward Norton in Fight Club--with my wall-to-wall Ikea furnishings, that provide maximized space, but unfortunately, minimized personality.

Lucky for me, Urban Outfitters provides an eclectic variety of home decorating goods that make finding the little touches that make my home more "me", easy and affordable....and without having to do much rearranging. Here's what I currently have in my cyber shopping bag:

To add little finishing touches, a cute doormat and unique curtain tie-backs create a subtle pop of style. Yes, curtains are always a must for me 'cuz I despise the whole vertical-blinds look.

This metal accessories ladder can be used as a storage for all of our many blankets that crowd the couches, and I like that it kind of serves as a display case rather than just having them folded away.

Both bedrooms are in need of some TLC---we used to have a massive painting above the bed in our old apartment that framed the bed, which our current floorplan doesn't allow, so now we just have a sad, sad bed with no headboard. I'm obsessed with this one from UO in a natural wood finish because it's gender neutral, so it's something we can actually agree on;) The Triangle Wall Decals were probably my #1 find of the year, especially since my daughter has been begging to paint a wall in her room "however she wants"...little does she know that mommy is far too OCD for that much creativity but these decals will do nicely. They're also easily taken off and come mix and match, so you can make any designs you want. They're also available in arrows (perfection) and little crosses that looked like plus signs (undecided) and come in multiple different colors. I'm actually kinda diggin' them in gold if I get the final say...

And last, but not least, my guy and I have made a little compromise....iiiii will find a way to eliminate the beauty product mayhem that is our bathroom if he eliminates the ugly-ass rolling desk chair that has somehow made it's way from the University of Arizona, and straight into my worst decorating nightmare. I think that's fair...I also think it needs to be "saddle brown" vegan leather, and made by Urban Outfitters. And look honey, I found one! How kismet.... to keep up my end of the bargain, this triple decker shelf will fit nicely above the towel rack and should hold all of the items that clutter the counter space. I'm secretly excited about his request because for once, all of my crap can be organized.
